Nelson Mandela was instrumental in advocating for this same right in the nation of South Africa. Why is voting important? Identify the connection between the right to vote and a democratic society.
When writing about Nelson Mandela, what impact do his accomplishments have on you personally and the community, if any? How did the struggle for voting rights in South Africa parallel the struggle for equal voting rights for all citizens of the United States?
